Summer Playlist Numba 2

I like to throw back to songs I haven't listened to for months during the summer. Which is why so many of the songs in these playlists will be somewhat out of date. But, whateva, it's good music.

1. "You Don't Know Me" by Ben Folds. Ben Folds + Regina Spektor = great song. The song is actually kind of sad, but it's got a great beat, and their voices are like butter.

2. "Young Folks" by Peter Bjorn and John. It's just so catchy.

3. "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen. Just when you thought you were gonna get away from this song, I bring it back.

4. "When Did Your Heart Go Missing?" by Rooney. Five dudes with long hair. So summer.

5. "Fluorescent Adolescent" by Arctic Monkeys. This video is fantastically hilarious.

And the dose of Kanye...
6. "Homecoming" by Kanye West. I straight up love this song. It's so Chicago.

Check back next Monday for more music!

Creatures of the Wind

Creatures of the Wind. How cool of a name is that?! Super. Creatures of the Wind is a Chicago- based line (woot! woot!) that just released a capsule collection with J. Crew. So, you already know their on point. Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters, the two behind the designs, were runner ups for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award. If you don't know, that's a huge deal. With the recent release of the capsule collection at da Crew, they have been put in national spotlight. Since I'm a native Chicagoan, it's always great to see other Chicagoans doin' it big (cough, cough, Kanye...).

I was first introduced to Creatures of the Wind when I saw some pictures from their Fall 2012 show on Chicago Street Style. I immediately noticed that the collection had an almost theatrical flair, while remaining totally wearable.

I seriously love this stuff. Their designs for da Crew are lust worthy. If I had money, I would spend it on these shoes. They're called "Psychedelic Oxfords." Come on, it really doesn't get any better than that.

They popped up in my news feed on Facebook because Amy Creyer from Chicago Street Style just got her pair in the mail and my heart damn near stopped. Not even kidding, I almost keeled over and died.

This is a four piece collection, and these four pieces are gold. Gold. Check out the other three below and let us know what you think.

Yeah, if any of you out there in the interwebs wanna spot be about a thousands bucks to pick up these items, it'd be greatly appreciated. I can't say I'd ever pay you back, but you would forever hold a special place in my heart as the person who frivolously hands out money to teenage girls. And honestly, that's fine with me.

Summer Playlist Numba 1

Ohhhh, it's the time of the year we love the most. These songs have been the soundtracks of my days spent in parks and riding my bike along the lake. And I figured it was time to get back on my blogging grind. All Worn Out will be undergoing a few changes as we make the transition from a team of five to a team of two. Our focus will still be on fashion, but we are going to expand to music, books, and things that we all love in life. Oh, and there will probably be a few aesthetic changes, too. So, bear with us. We hope you'll stick with us!

1. "Summertime" by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. Ultimate summer jam. One of my favorite songs of all time.

2. "Lights" by Ellie Goulding. Hopefully soon-to-be-contributor to All Worn Out Ashton told me about Ellie Goulding a few months ago, and it was obviously a great suggestion. I just wanna dance whenever hear this.

3. "Electric Feel" by MGMT. I had never seen the video for this song until, well, now. And it pretty much confirms my suspicion that they are always trippin'.

4. "Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye. Oh em gee, you've heard this song so much. And there's a reason for that, it's fantastic.

5. "Wild Ones" by Flo Rida. My bestie, Claritza, says that this is the song that made her get "crunk" at the B96 Bash. And the fact that she said "crunk" is reason enough for me to include it in this playlist.

6. "Mercy" by Kanye West. While it would have been perfectly okay for me to stop after five, no playlist is complete without a little Yeezy. And uhhh, this is explicit. So, beware.
